Jubyer Ahmed Shezan

I build web software end to end. Most of my work sits between the database and the browser: designing the data model, writing the API, and building the interface that makes it useful. I like the parts of the job that involve deciding what *not* to build.

I studied computer science and engineering, and most of what I actually use I picked up by building things and reading other people's code. That has not changed since graduating — right now I am working through Microsoft Azure, mainly the parts that touch how applications get deployed, scaled, and secured in production.

Alongside engineering I keep a working interest in application security. It started as curiosity about how web apps fail and turned into a habit — reading code for the paths the author did not intend, thinking about trust boundaries, and writing up what I find. It has made me a better engineer more than it has made me a specialist.

Outside of shipping, I write occasionally about tooling, automation, and the web security issues I run into. Most of it is the note I wish I had found when I hit the problem myself.

    • Paired OCR with language models to extract verified data from scanned documents, and built a comparison engine matching paid industry-standard software.
    • Owned the shared backend, auth, and scaling infrastructure behind the product line, plus a company-wide automated security-scanning system.
